I am now looking into if Windows 7 will run our legacy software. Some one from another forum suggested using Windows 7 which has support from Intel for the USB 3.0 system. ![]() I just thought that being able to choose to use the USB 3.0 from a menu instead of the command line would be easier for me and some non-savvy operators like me. I started using Vbox, I think around version 2.5 and there have been great changes in it since then, so no complaints. The trouble actually started when we began changing over to SATA USB 3.0 drives and USB 3.0 flash drives not realizing it would cause this problem. Virtual box is working great and the USB system works on USB 2.0 it would just be nice to be able to transfer data a little faster sometimes. Something about "wrap around console, and other interesting stuff ?" I'm sure its the driver I downloaded or the commands I'm typing. There is also another link like that one, being an older gentleman and not familiar with the command line as much as I should be, I haven't been able to make it work. See this tutorial first: Link given has been read but removed due to forum restrictions.Īlice and the gang are doing great but in black and white A post in Windows Guests might get you close to working USB 3 in an XP guest.
